Terms & Conditions

  1. Contract

    A contract is formed between you and Shadey Pty Ltd (ABN: 86674807188) once payment has been made in full at checkout. You will receive an order confirmation email after successful completion of checkout indicating Shadey has accepted your order.

  2. Made to order
    Shadey provides custom, made to order window furnishings to your exact specifications which includes measurements and componentry. Once manufactured, these products are custom to only your specifications and as such cannot be cancelled or returned to Shadey.
  3. Shipping
    Our products are available to be shipped to metro and major regional areas of Victoria, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Queensland & South Australia. At checkout, enter your delivery address and the shipping options will be made available. Once your order has completed production, you'll receive updates to delivery dispatch and delivery ETA's. If your order contains multiple product types, you may receive multiple shipments as products are shipped once production is completed.
  4. Measurements
    All of our products are custom made to your specifications including measurements. Be sure to take extra care in reading through our measurement guides and attain the correct measurements based on our guides. Ensure the measurements are taken correctly in millimetres and are double checked prior to submitting your order. Where noted in our guides, Shadey will make required adjustments to your provided measurements to ensure your products fit perfectly in your space based on your product specifications. If you receive a product that is not the right size for your space, contact us so we can provide a resolution based on the issue at hand.

  5. Product & Fabric Imagery
    Product photography, digital imagery and descriptions on the Shadey site provide an indication of the fabric texture and colour. These representations can be different based on lighting conditions and screen clarity of your device. This is why we provide a free fabric sample service. Before you order, if you’re wanting to ensure the texture and colour of the fabric matches your expectation,  select your samples and we’ll send them to your provided address at checkout.

  6. Defective or Damaged Product
    Upon receiving your made to order window furnishings from the courier, please inspect the product and if there’s any damage to the product ensure to contact Shadey as soon as possible so that a remedy can be actioned. Please ensure this is done within a 7 day period of receiving your product. If the fault or damage is as the result of a manufacturing issue or faulty product, in line with Consumer Law Guarantees, Shadey will ensure a repair or replacement is provided to remedy the issue. To action this, Shadey may require the product to be sent back to us to inspect and remedy. This action will come at no extra cost to you as the customer and the remedy provided will be done so at the earliest opportunity. To initiate the remedy, Shadey may ask for photo evidence to be provided by you. Further information on our return policy can be found here.

  7. Warranty

    Shadey provides warranty for all products for the period of 5 years for all blind & curtain types and 10 years for our Shutters. In accordance with Australian Consumer Law, Shadey will provide a remedy option for the product in the form of:

    • Repair of product where applicable with the repair and shipping of product covered under warranty
    • Replacement product, like for like, including shipping charges
    • If necessary, refund cost of faulty product

    Shadey’s warranty will provide the above remedy options within the stated warrantable period except in cases where product faults have occurred as a result of:

    • Alteration or re-sizing
    • Painting or staining the product
    • Damage from pets
    • Incorrect installation or improper cleaning
    • Normal wear and tear
  8. Product Care
    Care and cleaning instructions are available on our product pages under the ‘Fabric & Care’ heading. Some curtain products also have these displayed on the affixed care label. For general cleaning, follow the fabric and care recommendations. Regular dusting is recommended for all products.

  9. Privacy
    Shadey collects your information at checkout in order for us to supply your purchased products to you. By providing Shadey with this information and placing an order you agree with this policy. If you’ve opted in to our marketing materials via checkout or mailing list sign up, you can opt out via the opt out links at the bottom of our emails.
